Theraputic Massage

Therapeutic Massage is the use of hands-on techniques to manipulate the tissues for the purposes of promoting good health and well-being of the individual.

Evidence has shown that by performing massage techniques, particularly on a regular basis, circulation is improved, excess waste products are removed from the body, aches and pains are reduced, stress and anxiety are relieved, skin texture is improved and the overall functioning of the body tissues is restored to its most effective level.

Additionally regular treatment helps the overall relaxation required by the body to rejuvenate effectively, and therefore increases general energy levels, allowing us to get the optimum enjoyment out of life.

Therapeutic Massage treatments can be designed to relax the individual or stimulate and invigorate, depending on the techniques performed and the lubricant used. A full-body massage is the most effective, however, when time is short, a shorter, back, neck and shoulder treatment can still be very beneficial.

Whatever, the purpose, it is important to keep in mind, that the overall benefit is to PREVENT the deterioration of the body through ineffective interaction of its different systems. Just as you would have your car serviced regularly to ensure it kept working effectively, therapeutic massage should be used to ensure your body keeps working effectively. For an individual with no underlying conditions requiring remedial treatment, an appointment once every 4-6 weeks should be sufficient to allow the body to keep working efficiently.
